Ever since I was a little girl I got a new Christmas dress every year. My sister and I used to go with my Dad and pick the prettiest (usually velvet!) holiday dress we could find to wear on Christmas Eve AND Christmas Day night. It was a traditional that I continued on as an adult and it still is one of my favorite traditions to look forward too. This gorgeous red lace dress is this years Christmas Dress and I must say, I feel just as beautiful in it as I did twirling in my velvet dresses as a child. 

If you have been following on Instastories over the weekend you will know I shot this look in my living room on Sunday morning. I tried Saturday afternoon but the sun decided to peek out from behind the clouds for the first time in what felt like weeks and casted a huge shadow on the wreath wall. I knew this dress was beautiful, but it wasn't until Sunday morning when I walked out to the living room (while footfall was on!) to ask my husband to shoot my photos and he jumped and said, you look incredible, sure I'll take them! I didn't even need to wait till half time... I guess I found my secret weapon!! 

I tried a new wrapping style this year, not very popular with the family (they think its boring) BUT I dont care, I think its cute! I have been seeing minimalist holiday decor on Pinterest and now I want to throw all my old decor out and start new, butttt I do got out numbered on that in the house so I will pick and choose my battles. Holiday wrapping is a battle I can win, an undecorated tress is not.
