front porch; fall decor

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! 

Ours was busy yet relaxing at the same time, does that even make sense? We spend all day Saturday working around the house and Stephen building a fence. We absolutely love living on the farm but there are so many more aspects to daily life that we are still getting used too. For instance, building fences to keep the neighbors cows out (anyone see my instastory from last week?) or the massive amount of mud that is constantly tracked through the house by my favorite four legged fur babes. 

When creating the plans for the home I knew I was going to have a large deck out back for summer nights, however I also wanted a little porch at the front entrance. I have always admired rancher style homes which is what ours is inspired by. In this post you won't be able to see the entire front, we have  9 large white pillars that line the front of the house, but I am saving the grand reveal until we have a little less dirt and mud. For todays post, I am displaying the front door and steps! Each season I look forward to updating the decor. 

How amazing are these large black lanterns? I picked them up before we moved from Arizona at Kirklands (found some extremely similar ones online!) since I already had inspo pinned for my dream porch. You can see my entire home decor holiday board here. It is funny as an adult what gets you excited, for me these days its literally anything and everything home decor. 

Hope you enjoyed my Autumn decor, now lets hurry up Winter because I am getting excited to decorate again! Our winter wonderful is right around the corner with the weather we have been having this week.
