"3 Ways To Amp Up Your Wardrobe"

Hi There! I'm Candice from Teatime Thoughts, a life & style blog, where I share my latest fashion finds and musings on life, tea and how to look like Lady Gaga..haha kidding..but I did try her hairstyle once. Check it out.  The always stylish Stesha asked me to share some tips with all of you, so I'm here with my 3 top ways to make your outfits amazing. Ready?

1. Accessories
Ok, ok you probably know this already but never underestimate the power of properly accessorizing an outfit.. it can take it from blah to wow. Trust me.
Some great pieces to invest in are statement necklaces, multicolored scarves, colorful belts and a cute clutch or bag. Don't shy away from those sparkling earrings, glittery heels or brightly colored rings..if you're going to be a bit daring, this is the place to do it. Here's a few examples of how I used accessories to make my outfits pop.
2. Re-invent pieces
It's time to get your inner Vogue editor on..pick some pieces and put together a couple looks using just those items. That flowy maxi skirt that's hanging in your closet..belt it and wear as a dress, try a short flounce black skirt over a colorful shift to create a peplum effect or tuck a dress into a skirt, and voila! new top. This is all about getting creative and being an artist..getting dressed is creative expression, so don't stress..just have fun!
Here's how I took one dress and created 3 totally different looks..can you tell I love belts? ;)

3. Invest in some classics
Two words, girls: Nude. Heels.
Seriously, if you want your legs to look fabulous, this is the best trick. A little height in a flesh color works wonders for your gams...wedges can be comfortable for everyday and some tall heels are fun for evening events. A few other universally flattering pieces are a good white button down, a LBD (of course!), navy/white striped shirt and a solid black or navy blazer. Any of these pieces can be the foundation for a great outfit, and since they are wardrobe staples, you know you're bound to look stunning. I styled a few looks around these classic pieces: white button down, striped shirt, nude heels

Hope you picked up a few ideas. Here's to a closet full of clothes and something fun to wear!
Feel free to drop by and say hello at my blog (I would love to meet you!), and be sure to leave any style tips you've got below! I'd love to hear your favorites!

Thanks for having me Stesha!
