touching family.

Photobucket

How precious is this family?! I just love them.  I met Tara when I was visiting in Canada this summer, when she head I was coming in October for a visit she asked for a shoot and of course I was delighted!!!
Tara and her two boys showed up ready to go! They had changed of clothes, trucks, signs, adorable cowboy hats...everything possible! I loved it because it is rare that people come so prepared.
Getting to know my clients is one of the best parts of my job.  It allows me to dig deep and really capture who they are through their photographs.  This shoot was no exception.  Tara and her two boys Jake and Micah moved back to Vernon last year after spending time down in Portland.  About three years ago Tara, her husband Preston and son Jake were assisting with a car accident that had happened in front of them and with a series of unfortunate events Preston lost his life that day.  Her story touched my heart so deeply.  I was speechless.  To look at this beautiful girl and these boys who have been through so much made me take a deep look inside.

Here is a preview of the shoot,  you can check out more pictures here!!

Beautiful photos! And their story, although you only shared the minimal details, sounds heart-breaking.
