bumpdate: 20 weeks

Okay, I may be a week and a half late posting this BUT I am getting around to the 20 week bumpdate. I feel like so much has happened  in the last 6 weeks however that could just be because I do more than eat bagels, sleep, and work... I, my friends, have become a member of society again! The questions, how are you feeling comes my way my answer is GREAT! At week 7, 8, or 9 I never thought those words would come out of my mouth, but here I am. I honestly feel great. Of course there are some second trimester symptoms that are present but compared to the first trimester this is a breeze!

how far along: 20 weeks as of Sunday September 16th, 2018

baby's gender: GIRL! we found out on July 30th, 2018 at week 13, we announce to our friends and family on Wednesday August 29th at 17.5 weeks! read the gender reveal bbq post here

first movement: Stephen (hubby and baby daddy!) felt the first movement before I did. Some kind of mom I am haha! We lay in bed at night with his hand on my belly and he felt the first thump on September 3rd at 18 weeks. I felt her move for the first time on my own (on the outside of the belly!) on September 12th. I feel her often now, not consistent but I know she is in there moving, especially at night time.

weight gained: as of the last doctors appointment on September 4th, I had not gained anything since week 14, we are sitting at 7lbs gained total. Although my belly popped out at 19.5 weeks BIG time!

symptoms: in the second trimester I have started to experience heartburn and acid reflux badly. I have never had either before now and man it is uncomfortable to say the least. Around week 15, 16, 17 I experienced frequent headaches, and sleeping has not been my friend. I can't seem to get comfortable ever! I am usually 100% belly sleeper so now having to get used to a side is not the easiest. We are managing and some nights I only have to get up to pee once and others I get up 3 or 4 times. Ya win some, ya loose some.

cravings: no cravings here! I mean I am back to loving chocolate but that is totally pre pregnancy Stesha. I am eating well balanced meals, more fruits than veggies, still trying to grab an apple instead of salt and vinegar chips, and loving ice cold lemonade.

aversions: the only aversion I seem to have had is salmon! From early on in my pregnancy salmon is the only real no no for me.

I just recently picked up some maternity clothes a week ago while I was visiting in Arizona. I my trying my best to wear what I already have or chose options that will still be useable even after pregnancy however maternity pants are a must! I picked up a few pair of jeans, cargo pants, and some leggings.... life changing I tell you. This dress in todays post I picked up at H&M for under $20! I sized up one size and it allows room for the bump to grow. Fall is in full swing here in the Okanagan so layering up a jacket and a pair of adidas makes for the perfect outfit!

We are looking forward to a Fall weekend of fun with the family. Maybe a little pumpkin patch visiting and apple pie making... sounds perfect doesn't it?!
