a little Easter decor

hello + Happy Monday! I am so excited to share some holiday decor tips with you since Easter is right around the corner. Easter is totally my favorite holiday, has been since I was a little girl. I love tulips, pastels, the sun is always shinning, Easter dresses and of course the chocolate that comes with it!  I have slowly been decorating around the house for Spring (even though there is still too much snow outside!) and today I am going to share with you a free printable Easter banner I found on Pinterest

Do you follow Stesha Rose on Pinterest?! You should if not already! I found this amazing free printable Easter banner and knew I needed it for the big blank wall we have in our kitchen. If you remember from winter I did a wreath wall in the same location. I LOVE the floral design of the letters, they give off a very anthropologie type feel don't ya think? It was super easy and fun to do, take a look....

what you need: free printable, scissors, hole bunch, twine, card stock
(the colors are a bit subtle in my photos because of the editing)

I am not super crafty no matter how hard I try but I figured, this can't be that hard can it? I picked up some plan 8x11 card stock and decided to give it a try. Worked like a charm! Once I had printed the letters carefully making sure I printed the correct letters, I cut along the black line and created squares for the banner. I chose to cut on the outside of the black line knowing I was going to hang it on a white wall but you can also cut off the black if desired. Next I took a one hole punch and made a small hole on each top corner of the squares, and the final step I ran some twine through the wholes making a banner. Seriously SO easy yet looks so chic! Doesn't it look amazing on the wall? Just what I had visioned!

On another note, about a month or so ago I found this website, that had a bunch of mommy and me, daddy and me, and entire family matching clothes. Totally the trend right now and happens to be Sofia's very favorite thing!  Scrolling through the site we passed these mint maxi dresses and fell in love. I wasn't too sure what to expect when they arrived but the quality was fabulous. We decided the dresses would be great for Easter or even Mother's Day brunch. If it was up to Sof we would be wearing them "all the time, jut because!" This is not sponsored or gifted we just really love them and thought you would too!

Okay this last photo I had to post to how you how real life is at the house! Coors has become obsessed with photos lately, I guess its because I make him pose for them so often. When we were shooting these photos he would come and sit right in front of us and just stare (like a deer in headlights!) at the camera. It was funny and cute at first but as you can see from the annoyance showing through my face it wasn't as funny when we refused to get out of the shot! 2 dogs, a kid, husband + wife in 800sq feet for 3 months straight.... yes we are starting to fall all over each other. We CAN NOT wait for Spring to be here in full force so we can be OUTSIDE all. the. time!

Wednesday I have another Easter post all on how I make Sofia's Easter basket! See ya then! XO
