The weather in Arizona has finally started to cool off a little. By cool off, I mean it is only a high of 87  and only to us zonies does that mean pull out the sweater and boots! Other states are getting inches of snow while we are here still sweating away, but that does not stop me from rocking my fall attire. Fall fashion has always been my favorite because there are an unlimited amount of options to dress yourself in each day. Yes it may take a little more effort than just throwing on shorts & a tee in a laid back style, but even that can get old! This is one of my new favorite sweaters from Chicnova, it is light enough for me to wear in this "fall" weather but will also serve well when the temperature does fall below 80 degrees... a win win!

PS this outfit post really made me realize just how bad my roots are... eek! Shall I re-highlight or bring back the ombre for the winter months?

PPS I will be back to normal with Life According to my iPhone next week, life has been a little crazy but a routine is being inserted stating today!

Kendra Scott: Color Bar experience

Last week I had the pleasure to go up and visit the fabulous ladies up at Kendra Scott at Scottsdale Quarter! Kendra has always caught my eye, but it wasn't until I went to visit Miss Shanna in Austin for the Texas Style Council that I really had a true appreciation for the jewelry. The stores are incredibly beautiful, the one in Austin was packed so I didn't get the full effect or really learn all the cool things there is to do.
When I was invited up to the new Scottsdale store I jumped on it. I got a tour of the entire store, the new fall line that had launched earlier this season and of course I got to learn all about the Color Bar! Each Kendra Scott store has a screen where you can design your very own piece! So if you don't see something you like in the store, just make your own! No extra coast and the ladies have it put together for you before you leave.

They have drawers behind the counter with all the different colored stones
This is the touch screen you use to design your own pieces. You can see at the bottom you are able to choose the item you would like, then on the sides they have all the different colors. You can choose a gold setting or a silver setting, and best part you can change it up as you go!
The ladies make it for you right then and there
I designed two different pairs of earrings. I was looking for more fall theme, I couldn't decide for the longest which ones I wanted but finally chose the red ones!

All Kendra Scott stores with the Color Bar also host parties, so if you have a birthday or bridal event, so just a random Saturday just call and coordinate with the events planner at the store and they set up a party for you....best part they serve cupcakes & champagne!

Next week Kendra is launching her Aurora holiday line! If you live close to a store I am sure they are having a launch party, you might not want to miss it! If anyone is here in Arizona, I will be at the Scottsdale Quarter party next Wednesday, October 16th come in and say hello!

PHX FW - Night 3!

dress (here) & heels (similar) c/o LuLu*s // jacket (similar) & S bracelet (here): Nordstrom // headband (here) c/o LookBook Store // clutch: Random Boutique on Melrose

Last Friday was my 3rd day at Phoenix Fashion Week and my last.... insert large sad face! I went with my blogging bestie again, Miss Brie (who randomly showed up in a neon maxi dress as well... not planned, we just share the same mind!) We got the Talking Stick Resort early enough to make it to the top of the parking structure to catch the sunset and of course take some outfit pics!

The show kicked off with a fabulous Men's line called GENTS. You can find them at Nordstrom (and other department store & boutiques) they are a perfect casual style that the guy next door who watched football on Sundays would love!

Another fav show was the JHaus jeans! Mostly because they walked to country music, but also because the jeans look & fit unreal.

They had a violinist who was incredible, there is a video on my Instagram that you must check out!
Thank you to PHX FW for an amazing experience! The shows, the fashion, the friends, and the whole week in general was unforgettable.  I can't wait till next year!

PHX FW - Night 2!

skirt: Nordstrom // short: Forever21 // shoes: Steve Madden // earrings (designed by me) c/o Kendra Scott // rings c/o Style Lately // nail polish: OPI "to be 25 again"

Last night was night two of PHX FW and a party it was! I was reunited with my blogging bestie Brie (best part) and we had a blast meeting the designers, looking at the local boutiques, and mingling with other oh so fabulous Phoenix bloggers. Seriously I had no idea there are so many wondering bloggers in AZ, and to have them all together in one place is just like Christmas morning! (ok maybe not quite that exciting, but close!)

Brie and I arrived at Talking Stick Resort around 5:30 to snap some outfit pics before the night started. That was easier in our minds than reality, everything was blocked off for the show so we settled for this alley type location. During my outfit shoot I felt a little rip on my shoe, I looked down and to no surprise the toe strap had broken on my shoes!!!! The show hadn't even started yet which meant I had all night with a broken shoe = this will be rough!

The show kicked off with Robert Black, a local Arizona designer who's line was a mixture of 50's and southwest feel. It was the perfect kick off to the night. I only snapped a few pics with my camera but you can see some videos from his show on my Instagram @SteshaRose

Next we had The Shawl Dawls which was a very fashion forward way to display their shawls that can be worn multiple ways! Super interesting and creative way to showcase their more simple items! Take a look....

And my favorite show of the night was from the contestant currently on Project Runway, Mr. Brandon McDonal! All of his pieces blew me away, the detail was amazing, and it flowed perfectly. I can't wait to get my hands on some of these pieces!
During the show, Miss Amy looks over and says (about the middle dress), "That's a C&B dress if I have ever seen one!" Yes, his whole collection I would wear in a heart beat!
I don't think I need words for this finale dress it speaks for it's self!

bad pic but had to show, Mr. Brandon McDonald!

3rd row with no one behind us meant we could be as crazy as we want!

Fashionably Pink @ PHX FW

Last night I got to experience the Fashionably PINK fashion show that kicked off Phoenix Fashion Week. It was a show dedicated to a charity called, Don't Be a Chump, Check For a Lump, honoring breast cancer awareness. The Founder of the charity, Holly Rose, was in attendance (and walked the runway) along with many other Phoenix Celebrities and breast cancer survivors! It was truly a touching evening and it was full of lots and lots of Pink!!

My good friend Ashley & I after the show
Some of my favorite looks from the show. Can't go wrong with any of these..... how beautiful!
That's right ladies, Arie from the Bachelorette was a celebrity show & walked in his pink to show his support for the cause!
The three lovely ladies above are all breast cancer survivors, and they sure strutted their stuff! It was so great to see the out there on the runway!
Had to mix in a little laughter, John Jay & Rich from the KISS FM morning show decided to jump in the pool during their walk and give everyone a great laugh!

Such a fun night with great people. I had the chance to meet some fabulous AZ bloggers who I can't wait to continue the week with! Happy HumpDay loves!

tulle is perfect for every occasion

skirt (here) + backpack (here) c/o Lookbook Store // shirt: Forever21 // shoes (here)  c/o LuLu*s // necklace c/o Rock Kandy // rings (here) c/o Style Lately

I am so excited to be back blogging and chatting with you ladies! I have missed you so! I arrived safely back in Arizona and it has been crazy since I pulled into the driveway, but that is never a bad thing.  I love getting back to reality after a little 3 month break.

This week is Phoenix Fashion Week! Eeeek, so very excited for all the fun shows, fabulous ladies, and of course the launching of new lines. Today starts the kick off to Fashion Week with a breakfast in the morning + then back for the Fashionably PINK show tonight, which is in honor of breast cancer awareness. The week will continue on Thursday, Friday, + Saturday..... it is almost like Christmas I can barely wait.

Although Fashion Week is exciting, the picking of the wardrobe is not always so easy. I have been spending multiple days looking at my closet + scanning the stores to find something just perfect. I think tonight I will be styling the skirt above, it is fun, feminine, & the perfect statement. Keep up with me as I go on my journey of PHXFW on Instagram & Twitter. I will be giving play by play + showcasing some of the fun fashion that is hitting the runway!
