Can you believe it has been 11 years? I remember the morning of 9/11/11 so clearly, I was a sophomore in high school, I was brushing my teeth getting ready to head out the door when my mom called to my sister and I, girls come here! We walked into the front room looked at the news that was on the TV and just stared. After a few moments I asked, "I am confused, is this a new movie that is coming out?" No one answered, mom just shook her head. My mom and others in my extended family has just been to NYC and the world trade center the week before. How fast life can change. My heart and prayers go out to all the family who are affected by the awful events of 9/11. May we never forget,

It really feels like yesterday. I was a senior and 2 days before just had my heart broken for the first time. Needless to say that heartbreak was minimal after that day.
Such a lovely tribute! I can't believe it was 11 years ago and also fell on a Tuesday, as it does this year!
I had just graduated college and moved to NYC for the first time on September 1st of 2001, 10 days prior to it being changed forever and I'll never forget being in the middle of it all.
As I sit here, living once again in NYC, I feel lucky to be back in the city that has held a part of my heart since that fateful day!
Sending extra smiles your way! :)
great post! will never ever forget!

Lovely post!
We will definitely never forget.
Never. I just can't believe how long it's been but it still seems like yesterday. Thanks for the post. xoxo
I can't believe it's been this long either. I was also a sophomore in high school, and because we're only an hour behind NYC, I was already at school. I was driving the Driver's Ed car during my study hall and we happened to have the radio on...
Wonderful post. I think it is so important for people to share their stories on this day!
