Arrowleaf Cellers

dress c/o

Last Sunday Stephen + I decided to explore our new town and all it has to offer! The Okanagan Valley is the area in British Columbia where we now live (most popular known in blogger world because of Jillian Harris lives here) popular known to the rest of the world as Lake + Wine country. Yes, you read that correctly! When describing the Okanagan to people who have never been or heard of it I like to say it reminds me of Lake Tahoe meets Napa. Sounds incredible right? It is.  Needless to say we have lots of exploring to do!

Last week was my birthday, which we were camping for, but I had told Stephen I wanted to visit one of the 200+ vineyards that line the mountains surrounding us when we returned from camping. I love wine, Stephen on the other hand is not always a huge fan so I needed to pick a location that also had great food. Well, we found it! I can't wait to show you Arrowleaf Cellars, a winery only 15 minutes from our doorstep. Take a look....

I wasn't lying when I said it was incredible! We were blown away by the beauty of the rows of vineyards overlooking Lake Okanagan, the food was delicious, and even Stephen loved the wine!

Location: Arrowleaf Cellars, Lake Country B.C.

Food: We ordered the butter chicken flat bread and the brie and bruschetta platter. The flat bread was hands down the best flatbread I have ever had, there is also a chorizo one we want to try next time! We also enjoyed a slice of their popular carrot cake which was to die for. Yum!!!

Wine: We sampled 5 wines when we first arrived; 1 sparkling, 2 whites, 2 reds. It was such a warm day and the Sparkling Wildblum Wine was so refreshing so we had that with our lunch.

Sat: There are two different locations where you can sit and enjoy the view.  On the patio which is full service or in the picnic area which they bring your lunch to you however if you need anything you have to get up and walk to the main building area. We sat down at the picnic tables on the grass under the trees. It was a little more private and I loved the feel of being down near the vineyards. Walking to get our second glass of wine was easy peasy, I would recommend the picnic area to anyone. You are also allowed to bring your own food and enjoy some Arrowleaf Wine out on the picnic area! Bring a blanket, your children and your pets to have a full fun afternoon.

It was a wonderful lunch, we cant wait till some of our friends and family from Arizona come visit so we can take them to enjoy it as well!
