simple black, white + denim,

jeans (old - similar) // top (40% off!) // bag // shoes // watch // bracelet c/o Olive + Piper // sunglasses // choker // lips: lip liner in "whirl" and lipstick in "Brave"

There is something to be said about a simple, classic black + white outfit. I picked up this tunic blouse in July at the Nordstrom Sale (it is on sale again for under $30!) and have paired it with so many outfits, I can't wait to break out the leggings + scarfs for a more laid back cozy look.  Also, this choker has ben climbing to the top of my accessory list. I was hesitant at first to experiment with chokers but the more and more I wear it the more I seem to like them!

off the shoulder bodysuit

Happy Friday!

As I was skimming through Nordstrom.com a few weeks ago I saw this off the shoulder bodysuit. Well, originally I thought it was a top but once I clicked on the images I noticed it was actually a bodysuit. I had a few bodysuits last summer but none that had actual sleeves, so I was interested to see how this would fit/look.  One reason I love shopping at Nordstrom so much is that A. it is free shipping + returns and B. you can actually look up if Nordstrom carries the item in a local location near your home. So I saw the nearest Nordstrom had the bodysuit in stock so I ran over to try it on before I made the purchase. I loved how it fit. I bought a size small and it wasn't too snug in the torso, it actually had a little extra room!

As I transition into Fall I am getting ready to retire some of my shorts for the season, in doing that I like think this bodysuit looks great with a pair of high waisted distressed black denim, or even a great pair of dark flared jeans with booties.

I am off to a girls weekend in Palm Springs with some of my besties for a little reverse bachelorette party, or as we are calling it a "wifey party!" I can't wait to lay by the pool and relax for a few days, make sure to follow along on snapchat (SteshJordan) and Instagram!

lash bash with beauty brands

Who doesn't love mascara?! Everyone woman does, I mean it is life changing, right? Adding a few brushes here and there to totally transform your look is amazing. However, if you are anything like me, you hate the price tag that usually comes with a great tube of mascara. $30 a tube, I go through a tube every month... thats almost a dollar a day! Well, guess what!! Beauty Brands is having their annual Mascara Lash Bash where tubes of mascara are only $10.99!! Time to stock up!

I have done some research on some of the greatest mascaras (as I get older I really value the different brush type, length of brush, and bristles of the mascara wand!) and have a review for you!

I typically used to think lash primer was white, but not always! This Laura Geller, Fortifying Lashes is a great primer... honestly I feel like its just like regular mascara! The brush is a little fuller so I felt as if I had fuller lashes with more volume.

Stila: Mike High Lashes ($10.99 reg. $25)

The name speaks for its self, this mascara gives you the length you have always wanted. With a shorter more bristled brush it really allows for your lashes to grow that extra length!

Tarte: Lights, Camera, Lashes ($10.99 reg. $21)

There was nothing that really stood out to me specific or unique about this mascara (except for the tube design!) it was an overall great mascara. I loved the way the mascara applied to my lashes, it added volume, length, and was NOT clumpy.

I love brushes that have a slight curve to them! This Elizabeth Arden brush has a slight curve allowing a great swoop giving my lashes the perfect curl. *side note, I never use a lash curler, I hate how it feels so having a great mascara thats gives a good curl is curtail!

Peter Thomas: Roth ($10.99 reg. $22)

This was the first mascara I started using and I LOVED it! I love the thin brush, it allows for me to get my inner lashes with out any clumping. This mascara is better for length and really tackles each individual lash causing NO clumps.

per-fekt: lash perfection gel ($10.99 reg. $28.50)

This lash gel is great because it has vitamin A + E which helps strength your lashes and make them healthy. Most mascaras just add a layer or a coast to your lashes but this gel really helps your natural lashes grow and become stronger!

There are so many mascaras out there, and honestly switching them up is so much fun! I love trying new products, and I am so excited for my lashes to be better than ever as we head into fall! Make sure you head over to Beauty Brands, either online or find a local store near you and take advantage of this Mascara Lash Bash event! Runs from now through September 3rd so stock up!!

This post was brought to you by Beauty Brands however all opinions + reviews are my own.

fall trends with Banana Republic

Happy Monday!

Here I am again wearing this lace up tank from Nordstrom that I picked up during the NSale (now $34.00) last month. You can see how I styled the tank originally here in this post, but today I have gone for a more layered look. After all, the Fall season is about 3 major things: 1. Pumpkin Spice everything! 2. beautiful colors, and 3. layers, layers, layers!

I am super into cropped pants this seasons as well (like these above!) I feel they give the vision of your legs having a little extra length. They look great with wedges, booties, and if you want to wear taller boots no one will even notice your pants are cropped so you win again! Oh yea, and don't forget flats! Especially with the lace up flats being so popular again this season... I mean, you want to see that tie don't you?
