It is no secret that I don't have a normal 9-5 job, so getting up and getting fully dressed is not in my daily routine. However, workout wear is very much an everyday dress code for me. Even on days I don't have time or plan to work out. As my life moves forward, my single girl lifestyle is gone and engaged life to a wonderful man, his beautiful daughter and our two pups has come full force. I wouldn't trade it for the world but it has definitely been a change! I have been learning to balance work, life, family, and still get some me time in.

Have you heard of SIX:02 before: I had always seen it on the top level in the mall but never actually went in until recently. To my surprise their clothes are totally affordable and the entire store is for women! Score! Since typically each day of my week starts with waking up at 6am I throw on workout clothes no matter what I have planned. Having cute workout wear somehow just motivates me, I usually get my daily run in (either first thing in the morning or last thing at night, never seems to fit in the middle haha!) housework seems to be more fun and when that unexpected guest stopped by I don't look homeless, and even last minute meeting pops up or times change I can show up and still look like I have my life together!

I have just recently started introducing more color into my workout attire, so when I saw this floral bomber jacket (not available online) I snagged it immediately. I love love the soft colors, and the light material is perfect for these Arizona spring days when its still a tiny bit chilly in the morning! And this sports bra.... how cool is this?! Okay, I understand if its not for everyone but I am OBSESSED! It has a criss-cross back AND front, which just adds a little sass and ups the cool factor. Plus for some reason gives me a little extra confidence when I wear it. I kept it simple with plain basic black pants from Reflex (with a Heeler, the shedding is uncontrollable!) and lastlyI finished my outfit off with Nikes. My last 3 pairs of workout shoes have been black Nikes but this year I was been coveting the all black with white swoosh Nike shoes. A classic black & white shoe is perfect not only for working out but also to wear with jeans for a more street style look.

As soon as I recover from the horrible flu I have been battling for 2 weeks I will be back at running with the pups! Ps can I just say how freaking cute Coors is! He has seriously turned into the best dog ever, amazing running partner, good listener, love bug, and what makes Stephen most upset is that Coors is a total mamas boy!!
