neon pink vs neon yellow

I created a little lookbook for ya'll today teaming up neon yellow vs. neon pink. I haven't been a huge fan of neon but the more I keep seeing it the more I would like a little piece for myself. So tell me,  which is your fav pink or yellow?!

no more rips

jeans: American Eagle // shirt c/o Sammy Dress  // shoes: Charlotte Russe // clutch: Michael Kors // watch c/o LuLu*s // necklace: H&M // sunnies: Forever21 // lips: MAC "chatter box"

A much as I love jeans with rips on them I am totally on the hunt for good classic white denim. I have had the jeans above for almost 4 years now (wow!) I snagged them on clearance from AE outlet on a fluke and they have been the best jeans a girl could ask for. Although I don't want to retire them I also need to wear them sparingly as the rips are becoming larger and larger. Anyone have any ideas for good classic white denim?!

Make-Up Tutorial | everyday face

I am super excited/nervous to share my first face make-up tutorial with ya'll today! I have been asked this question many times, I have gone to multiple make-up artists, and through trial + error I finally have my daily make-up routine down to a point. Now this is when I am actually "getting ready" for the day or for a casual evening, not a night out or special event.

I have spread it out to step by step, may seem like a lot but I wanted to be detailed. So here goes....

Step 1: I apply STROBE CREAM by MAC using 190 foundation brush by MAC

With a fresh clean face I apply strobe cream to my cheek bones, forehead, top of the nose, and chin using the 190 foundation brush (I purchased the travel size in a kit). You only need a little about a dime size. This adds a sheer coat that brighten your face through your make-up. It is also very hydrating.

Step 2: Apply BB CREAM by Revlon

Using my hands I apply Revlon's photo-ready bb cream all over my face and under my chin down my neck. Depending on how much coverage you are looking for depends on how much cream to use. It is light and airy but a little does go a long way. I like the BB CREAM because it is not as thick as foundation but has a little more than tinted moisturizer.

Step 3: Apply CONCEALER by Revlon using 190 FOUNDATION BRUSH by MAC

After allowing your bb cream to dry apply CONCEALER to your "trouble"spots. I do a check make under each eye, the tip of my noise, my chin, and between my eye brows. For yourself look at where you are the reddest and apply concealer where needed.

Step 4: Apply STUDIO FIX POWDER by MAC using 150 LARGE POWDER BRUSH by MAC

I like to add just a bit of powder over my bb cream to dull the shine. I tend to have oily skin (especially living here in Arizona) so gently brushing powder all over the face will soak up the oil. I use the 150 large powder brush for all over coverage. I use C3 for the color, it dulls my redness with keeping close to my skin color.

Step 5: Apply BLUSH by Clinique using 116 BLUSH BRUSH by MAC

After powder has set I apply my BLUSH by Clinique directly on my cheek bones. I start closer into my noise and pull the BLUSH up to the very top of the bone where it meets my hair. This give your face a narrow "high" look that we envy about all those models! The color I use is "precious posy" by Clinique. Important note is to not use the powder brush, you will not get the same effect as a blush brush.

Step 6: Apply LUMINIZER by MAC using 116 BLUSH BRUSH by MAC

Final step is to apply just a touch of luminizer in a few key places to look like the sun has hit you perfectly all day. I apply MAC's "fantasy of flowers" to the area just above the cheek bone (you don't want to cover your blush) to the top of your forehead, bridge of the noise, just above your up (under your noise) and your chin! Remember, just a bit, you dont want to blind people with all that glitter.

And there you have it! That is my typical face make-up routine. Hope you enjoyed the tutorial :)

If you are interested in any of the product I use I listed them below for you!

lined palm trees

jeans (SIMILAR): Abercrombie & Fitch // shirt (HERE) + lace bralette (HERE): Nordstrom // boots (HERE): Old Navy // clutch (SIMILAR): Michael Kors // necklace (HERE) c/o OASAP // nail polish (HERE): Essie 'A List' // lips (HERE): MAC 'hip n happy'

I have been really into low cut back shirts this spring season. I know I know, spring just started but here in  AZ like I have stated many times it has been hitting record highs so I have been preparing my  SS2014 wardrobe for some time. When I cam across this shirt from Nordstrom I knew I had to have. Its a suer soft comfy material that has a low back and yet is long enough to cover my bottom. I can wear it with skinnies, or leggings, or even a bathing suit cover-up!

On another note, how awesome is this lined walkway of palm trees?! It is in the new spring training center and is apart of my daily run. I feel like I am in a tropical paradise for a few seconds as I skip down it.

Chicago Cubs Spring Training

skirt (HERE) + earrings (HERE) c/o Le Tote // shirt (SIMILAR) (SIMILAR) + bracelets: Forever21 // shoes (HERE) c/o LuLu*s // bag (SIMILAR): TJ MAXX // lips (HERE): Dior Fireworks

I bet you read the title of this post & thought I would talk sports didn't ya?! Wrong! The Chicago Cubs (baseball!!) just built Wrigley Field West at the end of my street. Literally the end of the block. Today I I am going to share my top 5 reasons I love sports stadiums without actually watching or liking the sport.  Here goes:

1. Spring Training starts next week so for the past 3 weeks there has been baseball babes practicing at the end of my block. Talk about some serious eye candy as I turn down the street!

2. Chicago Cubs colors are red & blue which is a great color scheme for the background of outfit photos. (as pictured above!) I didn't even plan this matching I literally drove, because walking 500 ft in heels was not happening, and found that I matched the signs. Perfection!

3. They built a beauuutiful park around the stadium! It includes a lake, walkways lined with palm trees, and green (actually green #azproblems) grass. I have found a new running route as well again as outfit photo location.

4. The stadium seems to have events every so often. I know this because around sunset I can hear fireworks go off. I look out my patio doors and can see the whole show! Talk about new years all over again.

5. Spring Training is the best social outing in Arizona for the entire month of March. You get to enjoy the 80 degree weather, have some adult beverages, and watch babes in tight pants while propped up with you bff's on the lawn. So pretty much what every other state experiences all summer Arizona gets for one month until we start to melt.

touch of grey

jeans (HERE) + jacket (SIMILAR) c/o Aeropostal // t-shirt: Abercrombie // necklace: Sophistifunk // shoes: Forever21 // link ring (HERE) c/o Style Lately // lips: MAC hip n happy

I know there is that little rule stating no white pants before Easter, unless its "winter white" which is difficult to describe yet is just some how known. Well, I am here to let you know that I am wearing white jeans with a pastel floral print and it is only the middle of February so those rules are being thrown out the window! I mean who really pays attention to clothing rules anyways these days?

On another note, aren't you just loving this blue leather jacket?! If any of you watch Pretty Little Liars you may have seen it last week worn by Aria! It is amazing, the color, the texture, the fit... all of the above! If you are out looking for a spring jacket I should highly suggest a colored leather, it just adds a little bit of extra pop to your outfit.

here are some other great options...

the right amount of pink

jeans (SIMILAR): Paige Denim // shirt c/o Aeropostal // cardigan (SIMILAR): Nordstrom // shoes (HERE) + bag c/o LuLu*s // watch (HERE): MK // bangle (HERE): Kate Spade // rings + ball bracelet: Tiffany & Co. // necklace (SIMILAR): Forever21 // lips (HERE): MAC "chatter box"

I am excited to say that today's post will be the last one with my ombre locks! I had my hair did the other day & can not wait to debut my bright blonde spring hair. Although I love the ombre + it does make my hair grow long lonnnng I have a soft spot for bright blondes! I mean blondes do have more fun right?!?

I went digging through my closet for some pink + red items to wear this week for the oh so fabulous Valentine's attire and to my surprise I don't have as many options as I would like in those colors. I have a strong red undertone in my pale princess skin so I try to stick to more cool colors like blues + greens...  and of course half my closet is white! I do love this bright pink cardigan however and think it is perfect for "It's Valentine's day so I have to wear pink" outfit. Not too much but just the right amount of pop to make a statement. I rolled up my jeans + added some neutrals to finish the look off. Oh and my jewels are silver because as much as I love all gold everything I have a huge sot spot for silver!

PS Happy Birthday to my blogging bestie Brie!! Hope your day is as fabulous as you!

mixing my inner girly girl with a little edge

dress: gifted (from France) // jacket: Forever21 // watch: MK // earrings: gifted // lips: MAC "current" liner

I totally stepped out of the box with these photos/outfit today, still doing a little double take at myself. I am not sure if this is a nailed it outfit but here's what inspired me to take the risk. I chose to pair a feminine dress with a more edgy jacket and lip color because I feel pairing contrasting styles together  gets a unique look. As much as I love lace + pink + flowers looking like a 12 year old is not really cutting it for me at the age of 27. By mixing a little edge to my style allows me to still keep my inner girly girl while appearing to look like a woman.

On side note, it is becoming spring which means a golden glow is needed all over the bod... im not suggesting sun tanning I am suggesting sun-LESS tanning. I better pull out those bottles + get to work these legs are almost blinding in these post! Happy Hump Day loves!
