I was experimenting with nail polish the other day + randomly felt neon was the way to go! I loved it for the first 20 minutes until I took a shower... I will never learn to fully let my nails dry.  It is just so time consuming and I seem to paint them always at the wrong time. Now I have smudged neon yellow nails, which from far away looks great but up close totally not the case. When I put this outfit on for the day, I realized again that neon just because I think its awesome it is not as versatile as I thought. 

On that note, I am off to paint my nails (again!) and up load some new products to the store. I am looooving the jewels that came in, I know you will too!! awkwardness of doing fashion posts

One question I get asked all the time is, Who takes your pictures?! This is not a simple answer because it does change often. Recently it has been one special girl who has been apart of my life for many years. She is not a photographer, actually I am almost positive she has never picked up a camera in her life until I asked her to take my outfit photos for me. You can image her confusion when I handed her my camera which is half the size of her body! She put the neck strap on being careful not to drop it, and started pushing the big black button on top. I made her study photos from previous blog posts to make sure we have the right angles and spacing. Not too high above the head not too much room below the feet. (I have been told before that I am very difficult to take pics of, doesn't the model just usually stand there and not speak?! Good thing I am not a model!!) The first few times I can assume she thought I was a nut job posing and making myself laugh and turning side to side. I am pretty sure she still gets a little embarrassed when people walk by during a shoot. Any of you who do fashion post understand the awkwardness that is involved! Well it has been a few months now and she is fully comfortable behind the lens, she directs me, lets me know when my face is not cute (her words exactly: uhh no! do not make that face again!) she has even gotten creative with angles that I have not though of.  Remember THIS post? She rocked it that day for sure, I could not have been more proud!! She now even sends me inspirational outfit ideas!

Here are 21 fun fact about me I know you have always wanted to know....

+ Stesha is the Russian name for Stephanie.  No I am not Russian, neither is my family but my dad found it in 2000 names for babies & loved it. It means "crown"... I was born a princess!

+ I was born & raised on a farm in British Columbia, Canada. I lived in the same house until I was 11 when we moved to Hawaii. 

+ Yes, I lived in Hawaii.  On the island of Molokai; population = 6,000. No stop lights, miles & miles of untouched beaches, breathtaking views. 

+ I always wear sunscreen, I burn like crazzzzy! I was the kid who always had to wear a t-shirt in the water on the second day in the sun. I cry when I see little kids in t-shirt swimming now, I know it sucks!

+ I am completely & utterly obsessed with ice cream. Any kind, but I prefer plain chocolate!

+ My high school mascot was The Aztec & my school colors were orange and gold. Worst ever!

+ My first job was a lifeguard at a resort water park.  I ended up working there for 7 years! I still know everyone who works there & visit them often. 

+ I have arthritis in my hips.  I developed it when I snapped my growth plate in half when I was 13. It doesn't affect me often but when it does I can barely move. I think hip replacements will be in my future. 

+ I started high lighting my hair at 15.  It was my 15th birthday,  I was living in Hawaii with my dad all summer, he asked me if I wanted to spend the weekend on Kauai (the only island I have not visited) or if I wanted my hair highlighted. Naturally, I chose my hair! It cost him $350 because I had to go to the fanciest salon in Honolulu (there were no hair stylist he trusted on Molokai). Needless to say I have been paying for my own highlights ever since!

+ I am the only person in my family who lives in the USA! My mom, dad, & sister all live in my hometown in Canada. 

+ I can only sleep on my stomach. Very rarely can I actually sleep in any other position. 

+ I crashed my mom's car one month after turning 16. I actually drove into 2 parked cars. I am not sure I even want to get into this story...

+ I wish I could live on a boat in the middle of the lake. Lake days are my absolute favorite, the smell of the boat in water, jumping off the end, wake boarding, tan skin.  All of it is just amazing!

+ I danced ballet starting at age 4.  I was in a serious ballet school with exams each year, I auditioned for the Royal Winnipeg School of Ballet in Canada when I was 10, however we moved that summer so I did not attend.  I continued to dance through high school and up into my second year in college. 

+ I am very loud. It just happens, I am loud all the time. Once you meet me, you'll understand. 

+ My mommy is my best friend. I talk to her at least twice a day. I hate that she lives so far away from me.

+ I am OCD about eyebrows. Mine used to be out of control, until once day I was comparing pictures and couldn't figure out why I looked different. I finally had them shaped!! Life changing. Now I check them daily to make sure all hairs are in place. 

+ I think Lauren Conrad is perfect. I also believe we could be friends in real life.

+ I have super sensitive skin.  I can not use any sort of scented lotions, soaps, perfumes, ect. My fav.gift I have received was a bar of "sensitive skin" soap. It's the little things!

+I have never had braces. I hated the dentist as a child, still not totally fond of them. I got lucky with having somewhat straight teeth, although there are a few things I would like to change. 

+ Chapstick is on me 24/7. I like the mint one because it tingles my lips!! I have one in each of my purses, my car, next to my bed, make up box!! 

+ Blogging has changed my life.

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend... now time to get back to work! I actually spent my whole day yesterday working my little butt off, you all ordered up a storm this weekend!! I am going to have to really get shopping for new merchandise for ya'll. 

Last week I threatened that I may be doing an outfit post in work-out clothes..... I bet you didn't think I'd actually do it did ya?! Well my friends I have been in gym clothes for the past two weeks + getting dressed just wasn't going to happen these past couple of days. So you are thinking cool she goes to the gym + stays like that all day. Uhhh not the case at. all.  I am just too lazy to do anything with my appearance so this is my go to. When I am out running errands I get asked, oh how was your work out? or On the way to the gym? yeahhhh suuuure. 

On another note, who's watching the Bachelorette? 1st.  I love Des, she is adorable, 2nd. These men are outrageous! Come on dudes, really? 3rd. I love Ben, I hope he is actually genuine! 4th. The guy with the fantasy suite, are you a joke?!?! 5th. Hash tag boy.... #youreadork #trytoohard #bye! This season is going to be an addicting season for sure.

First off I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the men + women who have + are currently serving our country! We would not be able to live the way we do without all that you have done for us!

MDW is about remembrance + also a time for families to get together to have BBQ's, decorate red, white, + blue,  & share laughter. The long weekend is the kick off to summer which means oceans, lakes, and if those aren't available pools always come in handy. I hope everyone is celebrating in fashion!!

+ Austin, Texas is coming up in August & I am counting the days till I visit.  It is also the #1 place to live in the US.... I may be doing more than visiting!

+ pearls & pastries utensils are adorable right? I love this Etsy shop, everything the shop has to offer  adds an extra bit of sparkle. 

+ target sandals I have been eyeing these babies for weeks now. I just need to bite the bullet & go buy them.

+ windmill winery is where I will be tying the knot! Well, one day! First I must find myself a man who is willing to put up with me forever. This place is amazingly beautiful, I am in the process of a couple contacts to hopefully shoot 2 weeding there this fall. 

+ perfume bottle as a vase is genius. I love this idea and will be trying to make this into a DIY project stat.

+ So this is going to sounds really weird but I need to know if I am the only one who experiences this. Every now + then I have this pain on top my head where my hair is. It is kinda hard to explain but it is the same feeling you get when you have your hair in a pony tail for too long... you know when you take it down it hurts really bad? Expect my hair is not in a pony ever anymore and every time I move the top pieces from side to side the pain is out. of. control. It is the oddest thing! I have googled it but the answers I have find state that pregnancy could be the cause. That cannot be my issue, trust me I am not prego! If any of you have experience this pain in your hair let me know!!

+ Lately I have been super lazy with my appearance. Where I do not want to get dressed in anything other than work out clothes anymore. The temps in AZ are heatin' up, so comfy work out clothes it is. I was even debating workout clothes as an outfit post but not sure how you would all take that. If I keep this obsession up you might just see it!

+ Ok,  I have to share this with you too, the other night I was sleeping (no bad dreams this time! I learned if I read before bed I dream of my books!) and I heard a big noise at 2:30am. WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?! I have lived in the same condo since the beginning of college, moved away and then moved back almost 3 years ago. I used to get scared alllll the time, to the point I would leave & sleep over at friends houses, but since those days I grown up + became an adult! However the other night I reverted right back to being a baby & freaked out. I heard the loudest noise that woke me from my fabulous REM sleep, so I got up + checked my bathroom. PS my bathroom is attached to my bedroom (like someone could get in my locked bedroom, sneak past me + hang out in the bathroom, but I had to check just to make sure. Nothing was different. No one was there.  Now I officially think I am going crazy. I listened next to my door because  no way in h - e - double hockey sticks am I going to open the door and actually look.  I didn't hear anything. Ok, I crawled  back into bed, anxiously trying to not be a baby. Then bang I hear it again, and it dawns on me..... my stupid shoe rack has fallen over in my closet! UHHHH again! Needless to say I am too angry at it for waking me that I now have shoes everywhere. I refuse to fix it just yet!

cotton candy push-up pops

Summer weekends always remind me of being a child. I grew up in central British Columbia, Canada where the summers are the most gorgeous things I have ever experienced. The smell of fresh cut grass, sun screen mixed with chlorine, hotdogs, + friends that fill your day with laughter. My weekend was really similar to what I just describes. 

Do you remember push pops? Ok, I had cotton candy flavored push pops Saturday.... hands down best ice cream I have eaten in who knows how long. 

Saturday + Sunday were both filled with lounging by the pool, socking in the sun, having my freckles come to life. Don't you worry sunscreen was applied :)

We had girls night Saturday in downtown phx. Growing up + going to college in the same town can get super old. You run into the same people when you are out, the same places you have been going to for years so we decided to mix it up. Downtown has really been expanding + new cool trendy bars/restaurants have been popping up. The last couple of months I have been heading downtown, it almost feels like a "real" city like Boston or NY.... ok maybe not at all like that but it is sure trying! 

I learned to make jambalaya on Sunday, paleo style! A few years ago I really took up cooking, tried to experiment with new recipes + absolutely loved it. I let cooking fall by the way side recently but I think I am going to pick it up again. It felt great to make a recipe + see the finished product.... and it was a great dinner!

What do dreams mean? And in dreams I mean the kind you have at night time when you are sleeping not the dreams you may have about your life or career.... or are they the same thing? I feel they are different! The dreams you have about your life can be controlled because well, you are not actually in a dream state of mind, right? But the dreams you have at night or during the day while sleeping are uncontrollable + frankly just confuse the heck out of me! I go through periods of time when every time I am sleeping my dreams are crazy. Some of them make sense, some do not at all, some are nightmares and I wake up in a panic + deep sweat. Do you dream about the last thing you thought about before bed that night? I used to think that was true but I dunno, doesn't really seem to be what it is. Lately I have been dreaming of people who are no longer in my life.... do they just want to make special appearance in my dreams to haunt me? I don't see them day to day so they just feel they have the right to take over my subconscious mind where I have no control? I have been told there are great dream books you can purchase, but I am not dreaming of forests, or butterflies, or being at a party. My dreams are weird situations thats I am not even sure I can describe. My dreams seem to come & go, usually lasting a month or two then I am free for a little. Today I am going to spend some time taking a break from working + check out the dream section of Barns & Nobles trying to figure out these darn things!

What happens when you get writers block? People say you should just start writing + eventually something will come to you. Well, I have been staring at my screen for a few hours minutes + nothing! I am watching Nashville (I really dislike Hayden but for some reason I am obsessed with this show) so maybe thats the reason for my writers block. 

I get nervous sometimes on what to write because I never know who is reading my blog. I know a lot of criticism is out there saying bloggers always pretend their lives are sunshine + butterflies who never let what really is going on in "real life" come out. Maybe we are all guilty of that at times, but honestly who wants to read about negativity, heartbreak, + complaints? We like reading funny, positive, outgoing posts on what our favorite bloggers are up too. I try to be as real as possible giving all my readers an inside look a what my life actually consists of. Today I will give you 5 words that have described me in the past few months. You can interpret them as you please!!

Wow,  I am so thankful + overwhelmed by the love I received yesterday. You guys seriously rock, I knew I loved you so much!
