tulle skirt + black beanie

photos by: Amore Films

skirt c/o LookBook Store // jacket: Nordstrom // shirt + tights: Forever21 // shoes: Charlotte Russe // beanie: Junky Trunk // bag: LA // watch c/o LuLu*s // sunglasses: Urban Outfitters

I have been into mixing feminine & edgy pieces of my wardrobe together lately. I feel it gives a good contrast & lets you have the freedom to play with what kind of mood you're in. I have been in love with this tulle skirt ever since the LookBook Store sent it to me at the end of summer. You may remember I wore it in this post which was a more of a vintage feel rather than todays urban/edgy look.  I remember when I wanted a tulle skirt many were skeptical to how many times I would wear it, if you are one of those people let me just tell you.... you can wear the skirt a million different ways all you have to be is creative! I have been searching for a slouchy black beanie for weeks now so when I saw on Instagram that Junky Truck was restocking theirs I jumped on it first thing. If you have not hear of Junky Trunk you are either living under a rock or have been deprived of an amazing boutique located here in AZ! (most of their business is done on IG & online so anyone can indulge!) The beanie is perfect, just what I was looking for & totally completed this look!

Thats it for me today, I have a busy weekend before I take off to go home for the Holidays!

Sunday's Best

pants: American Eagle // shirt: Nordstrom // boots: Off Broadway Shoe // watch c/o LuLu*s // necklace c/o Onecklace

What do you wear when you want to look festive but not like a candy cane?! I brought these white distressed jeans from summer to winter by adding dark wedges boots with one of my fav red blouses.  This was my Sunday best for my photoshoot & dinner at friends house. It is fun, casual, & perfect for any December Sunday. What has been your go to this week?!

gift guide: besties

stockings

Last night I had my annual gift exchange with my two besties. We have always gotten each other gifts every year but this year I was at a loss on what to buy them. After some time I decided I was going to make them stockings!! It was a fun, creative way to get them things I know they will want & need yet still had some holiday cheer. I put things like,  lipsticks, hair ties, holiday socks, fun nail polish, hand lotion, and a little bottle of champagne! We met at a cute little wine bar called Postino's in downtown Gilbert, shared some bruschetta & wine and enjoyed each others company. Being the great blogger I am I totally forgot to take a pic of the stockings or them with the stockings..... I guess sometimes you just have to enjoy the moment instead of document it! It was a success, both girls loved their stockings!

Christmas green

pants: Joes // shirt + blazer: Forever21 // boots: Charlotte Russe // scarf: Gap // clutch: MK

There's something about shoulder pads that seem to add the perfect amount of class to any outfit.  I love my Forever 21 blazer I found last year, the fit was perfect and the color was so unique. Usually around the holidays red seems to be the trend,  I like to stand out at times so when I came across this Christmas green blazer I snagged it up. It can be worn in a casual outfit or even with a little dress!  For my weekend shopping I decided to dress the blazer down & throw my hair up in a messy bun. It was an easy, comfortable, and warm outfit to get them through those hassles of lines!

Christmas is not only about gifts, but gifts are always an important part. Everyone says I am  both easiest & hardest to shop for because I know exactly what I want which results in no surprises. When you spend hours on hours reading blogs, scrolling through insta, & shopping its hard not too! For my loved ones this year, here is a little wish list that I wouldn't mind seeing under the tree this year.... I even labeled & linked for you ;)

get creative, use Pinterest

It has been no secret that I have been trying to be creative with my wardrobe! I am not on a spending freeze or anything, but I have been putting more effort into using what I already own in my closet instead of running out & purchasing more. Don't get me wrong I still run to the mall or hitting that "add to cart" option online just not as much as I used too.

Getting creative is not always easy so I turn to all of our favorite site... Pinterest for some help! I find one item I want to build my outfit around then I search on Pinterest for inspiration to help me finish it off. Take a look at last weeks inspiration....

I love my green skirt & I really wanted to find a way to transition it to fall. It was the first real "cold" morning in AZ so I knew tights could totally be an option!  When I found the image on the right + I used it as my inspiration to bring my emerald skirt from spring to fall!

The black skirt I am wearing is actually a dress, I wanted to use it in a different way than just a plan LBD look. When I came across the inspiration on the right I ran to my closet to make sure I had a stripped skirt & then I dug through to find my army jacket. I think the look came together just perfectly!

Many times I am always on the go! I don't always have time to always look dressy or perfectly put together. I found the image on the right again while scrolling through Pinterest one morning while still snuggled in bed. While in the shower I was thinking hard of what to wear that day when the outfit just came to me....similar yet I added the touches of red for a little brightness to my day.

How do you find creativity for your outfits?

all black everything

jacket (similar) & shoes (similar) c/o LuLu*s // pants: Dynamite // shirt: Arden B // necklace c/o Onecklace.com // lips: MAC Lady Danger

Happy Monday Blogging B eauties! What a weekend it was, but I must admit I am a little excited to have the week back & my routine in place. It will be another busy week for me (I am sorry for the lack of outfit posts, I have had a photog session almost every evening last week which means no day light for outfit pics) but hopefully I can fit in some fun too! Speaking of fun ladies (& gents) Tuesday is the Victoria Secret fashion show so tune in!!!!

As the temperature drop here in AZ I am excited to pull out my winter clothes. Although we just started wearing fall clothes a couple weeks ago, 32 degrees is now calling for full on winter clothing. I LOOOOVE this jacket from LuLu*s, it is warm, comfy, & stylish.... what more could a girl ask for? I've indulged into all black for winter with a pop of red on my nails & lips. I also added my new fav necklace from Onecklace. I always envied Lauren Conrad's 'Lauren' necklace from when she was on the hills, so when Onecklace contacted me I jumped on the opportunity.  It says 'Stesha' + I just love it!
