Marathon Monday....

Ok so here goes,  we are looking at 4 weeks from yesterday until my half marathon.  I can do it.  I had a little set back last week due to being sick, but I am running through it! I went on 3 light jogs this week...about 6km each.  (annnnd thats not even half way...ahhhh)  So this week I am going to need to step it up, and I need your help!! I have 2 things I need help with.
1.  I need MUSIC HELP!!! I need good "pump me up" music for my ipod.... suggestions??? I am all hears! Let me know what you like working out too.
2. I need a hydration belt.  I was doing some research over the weekend.  Anyone have a good belt they like to use? I read up on the Nathan 2 bottle belt.... what do you think??

Good luck, lady! Looks like you'll be in perfect condition to run your marathon with a few more practice jogs :)

I need to go on a run today, too! I have the Baltimore Relay in October (which is only 6.5 miles, so no comparison to yours!) and it's going to kick my butt if I don't get running!

That is pretty amazing that you are doing a half marathon, running a marathon is definitely on my bucket list, but I am not sure if I have the endurance to be able to do it. Besides running do you do any other type of training to prepare yourself?

And Jennifer Lopez's new album has some pretty good workout music to i think.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'm new follower too :)

I just finished my first 1/2 last month. It was the most amazing feeling of accomplishment. People say the adrenalin will keep you going... I didn't believe them. But for some reason, it does. And with everyone running around you, it keeps you going. For me, there were plenty of water stops along the way. I didn't have to use a belt (and def didn't need to stop at every water stand). You will do fabulous. Try not to over think it, you dont want to stress out more than necessary. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions. :) xo

You will be awesome, if I can do it anyone can :) I like the 2 bottle belt, but only use it when I'm running on my own, pretty much everything chafes after 13 miles! Also I just downloaded Willow's Whip my hair, love that song also The Band perry has some great songs. good luck!!

In cross country when we go on the long runs (like 10 to 12 miles) I like listening to really upbeat and inspirational music like "Eye of the Tiger" (you have no idea how many miles I've sprinted with that song playing), the usual pop songs like "Just Dance", the intense classical songs "Flight of the Concords" and "Requiem for a Dream", and finish it with a classic Disney song "I'll Make a Man Out of You" from Mulan :)

That is awesome that you can run a half marathon! I think my heart would stop if I tried. Ha ha, I have so many good songs, just can't think of any off the top of my head! Oh wait, I love the new Coldplay song (can't remember the name) Hey Mama, by Matt Kearney, 31 Flavors by Trevor Hall, and No Way by Naked and Famous. All good running songs I think! Wahoo, go YOU!
